01. The 22nd World Dance Congress
Last reminder for submission of presentations (papers,
performances, lectures, classes, exhibitions, video).
Absentee presenters can register too. Participants can attend
without a presentation. 700 dance professionals from 64
countries attended in 2006, making it the biggest and richest
gathering of dance professionals ever. Venue this year is the
Electra Palace, a 5-star hotel with roof swimming pool in
Plaka, the picturesque old town of Athens under the Acropolis

02. Christian Dance Conference in Italy
III International Christian Dance Conference in Florence,
Friday 13 to Sunday 15th June. All disciplines taught for all
ages (ballet, fitness, techno, hip hop, modern jazz, flags,
spontaneous and prophetic) and dance procession in the centre
of Florence.
03. Workshop in India
At Chandigarh, 14-23 November, 2008. Folk dances of India
like Bhangra (Folk Dance of Punjab), Kal Belia (Serpent dance
of Rajasthan ), Dandia (Sticks dance of Gujarat ) and Ghoomer
(Folk Dance of Haryana).
04. Competition in Italy
European semi-final will take place in Ravenna 21-23 November
2008. Reserved for children between 9 and 19 years old.
05. Vacancy in University, USA
To teach three sections of ballet during the fall semester of
2008. Salary in the neighbourhood of $12,000 for half-time
work. Required bachelor's degree and professional experience.
Struggling young artists are welcome, all nationalities.
06. Meeting is Spain
The President of CID and the Director of the International
Music and Dance Festival of Granada have the pleasure to
invite you to the presentation of the International Dance
Council in Spain: Dance in the world. Ceremonial Hall of the
Palace of Carlos V, Alhambra of Granada, Saturday 21 June
2008, 11:30.
The CID Circular is sent to CID Members and to other dance
professionals in 200 countries.
